Meet
Dr Alex D

I'm Dr Alex D, a Doctor of Integral & Holistic Medicine (PhD), a mother of three, and a lifelong learner in mindfulness, psychoneuroimmunology, quantum physics and the deep relief of living from your true self rather than your fear.

My story

I've experienced my own seasons of anxiety, overwhelm and nervous system dysregulation — the wired-but-tired feeling, the constant mental noise, the sense of living from survival instead of truth.

My doctoral work explored how the discovery of one's authentic true-self through mindfulness techniques can help adolescents and young adults move from anxiety, reactivity and fragmentation into greater wholeness and inner stability.

Beyond research, I've worked directly with young people, teachers and families, helping them translate science into lived experience: a calmer body, clearer mind and a more authentic relationship with themselves.

I've walked through the fire. That's why I can guide you through yours.

How I work

My work is relational, practical and evidence-informed. In our sessions we might:

Explore how your stories, beliefs and self-talk affect your physiology through the lens of psychoneuroimmunology.

Use mindfulness, meditation and HRV (heart-rate-variability) based emotional self-regulation techniques and simple practices to help your nervous system settle.

Bring in the principles of quantum physics related to health and well-being — such as epigenetics and the power of the observer — to shift how you relate to thoughts, emotions and past experiences.

Gently identify ego patterns (protection, self-sabotage, people-pleasing, control, avoidance) and reconnect with the quieter, deeper sense of who you really are.

Design micro-practices you can weave into school, work, study, parenting or daily life.

This is not about "fixing what's wrong with you." It's about remembering that nothing is fundamentally wrong with you — and facilitating a mindset-shift, learning how to support your biology and psychology so that truth can be felt.

A note for parents

If you're here for your child, you're probably tired of quick fixes and labels, a one-size-fits-all approach.

My work doesn't give your teen a diagnosis or a prescription. Instead, it:

Educates

Teaches them about how their brain, body and nervous system work.

Equips

Gives them real tools to navigate stress, anxiety and internal pressure.

Empowers

Supports them in finding a sense of inner agency and authenticity, instead of just coping from the outside in.

I partner with you and your child, while encouraging you to remain connected to your existing medical and psychological care team where relevant.

Clarity note

I hold a PhD in Integral & Holistic Medicine. I am not a medical doctor. My role is as an educator, instructor and coach in the fields described above. I do not diagnose conditions, prescribe medication or provide psychotherapy. My work is meant to complement, not replace, your medical or psychological care.
